The Rubber(er) is a modest yet characterful café located in Rayong, Thailand, situated in a region deeply rooted in the rubber industry. SA-ARD architecture & construction transformed the owner's family-run rubber factory memories into a contemporary public venue. The design preserves and references local industrial identity while delivering clear architectural composition and functional hospitality spaces. Materials, form, and spatial organization evoke the site's rubber-manufacturing past while providing accessible gathering areas for visitors and community. The project balances heritage preservation, adaptive reuse, and straightforward, legible architectural detailing to create a distinct local landmark.
