The Courtyard House, located near Surat, is a 920-square-meter farmhouse designed as a family sanctuary that fosters slow living and a connection with nature. At its core is a sunken courtyard that enhances spatial flow and cooling, seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor areas. The layout consists of communal spaces like the dining and living areas, and a private wing with three bedrooms and baths. Inspired by Chettinad architecture, the house features natural materials that harmonize with its surroundings, creating a visually appealing and comfortable environment for family living.
The Courtyard House is designed as a tranquil sanctuary connecting family life with nature, centered around a sunken courtyard that enhances comfort and natural light.
The house embraces the rhythms of slow living and seamlessly integrates indoor and outdoor spaces, allowing the family to enjoy a harmonious lifestyle.
Inspiration from Chettinad houses is evident in the design, with axial views reaching out to nature, while sloping roofs and textured surfaces create a unique aesthetic.
