Raw House / Order Matter
Briefly

Raw House is a mixed-use development in Seoul designed to blend with its natural environment while providing residential, office, and café spaces. The architectural approach emphasizes raw materials like concrete and timber, fostering authenticity and simplicity in living. Its southern facade opens to nature, while the northern facade offers privacy from the street. The project embodies a careful balance between visibility and seclusion, with meticulous attention to detail in space layout and material placement, highlighting a philosophy of doing less but with greater care and unity.
In an age of blurred realities and overstimulation, where people are increasingly pushed to perform or pretend, this project offers a retreat-a home where one can feel real and at ease.
The brief, written by the architect, was to create a durable structure that prioritises spatial clarity and lived experience over market expectations or visual excess.
