"The school, located in Cholula, Puebla, folds into the terrain with a rooftop that serves as a park, while classrooms are surrounded by gardens."
"The school integrates a park-like roof with a playground above and classrooms below, embodying a design that merges architecture with nature."
The Canadian School in Cholula, Puebla, designed by Sordo Madaleno, is a structure that integrates seamlessly with the natural terrain. Its rooftop acts as a park, while classrooms are nestled below, surrounded by gardens and courtyards. The layout features seven circular buildings organized in a radial plan, fostering a sense of community. A significant portion of the site remains unbuilt, promoting a porous landscape. Custom concrete blocks were developed for the project, reflecting the regional volcanic terrain.
