"Detectives had tracked Simboo's GPS coordinates through the Life360 app on his phone and found he was in the reserve on July 14 - the day after his wife was last seen alive, according to prosecutors. He had also been by Brookville Boulevard and 149th Avenue, where Ali's torso was found, prosecutors said."
"Sanitation workers in September found a woman's decomposed torso - later determined to belong to Simboo's wife, Salisha Ali, 33 - wrapped in a blanket near a wooded area off 149th Avenue and Brookville Boulevard, prosecutors said. Ali's head, legs and arm were found last week in the Jamaica Wildlife Refuge during a search that stemmed from an investigation into Simboo's phone."
Rupchand Simboo, 74, was arraigned on murder and concealment of human corpse charges following the discovery of his wife Salisha Ali's dismembered remains across Queens. Sanitation workers found Ali's decomposed torso in September near Brookville Boulevard and 149th Avenue. Her head, legs, and arm were subsequently discovered in the Jamaica Wildlife Refuge. GPS data from the Life360 family tracking app on Simboo's phone placed him at both disposal locations, including the wildlife refuge on July 14, the day after Ali was last seen alive. This location data proved instrumental in linking Simboo to the crime.
