Mission Telecom and Computers 4 People (C4P) have partnered to launch the Shield 5G Home Hotspot, a portable and unlocked device priced at $149. For qualifying customers, monthly subscription cost is set at $14.89. This service supports 5G and 4G networks, and is available for preorder in the U.S., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Having seen positive feedback from initial users on the East Coast, Mission Telecom plans to expand this initiative nationwide, focusing on reducing the digital divide for under-resourced communities, particularly benefiting students and seniors.
We heard directly that customers are very happy with the reliability and affordability of the Shield Hotspot and broadband service. The responses we've received so far reinforce our commitment to expanding access to connectivity and scaling this model nationwide. From students being able to do their homework reliably at home to seniors connecting with family, we believe this program will be critical for helping to further address the digital divide.
Our mission is to make best-in-class internet accessible and affordable to those who need it most. In partnership with Computers 4 People, we're removing a major barrier to getting more people connected and providing more opportunities for their lives.
