Masked men dressed in all black attempted to burglarize the Encino home of former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member Teddi Mellencamp and her husband on July 21.
Owner Rosanna Meza's brothers discovered the safes open and most of the inventory missing when they arrived at Meza's Jewelry on Sunday morning. The burglars stole approximately $1.5 million in jewelry, leaving only some 10 karat gold chains behind. The store lacked insurance to cover the loss, compounding the impact of the theft.
Prosecutors have filed burglary charges against 11 individuals accused of repeatedly breaking into a home in northern California, ultimately leading to further chaos as wild bears entered due to its vacancy.
