The cases are being re-examined following a national review into group-based child sexual exploitation which found it was more widespread, organised, and underreported than previously acknowledged. The force said it took all "allegations or concerns about child sexual exploitation and child criminal exploitation incredibly seriously". Baroness Casey's report, the National Audit on Group-based Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse, also found a "mismatch" in the way the way the Metropolitan Police and local authorities record child abuse.
An internal Meta document obtained by Business Insider reveals the latest guidelines it uses to train and evaluate its AI chatbot on one of the most sensitive online issues: child sexual exploitation. The guidelines, used by contractors to test how Meta's chatbot responds to child sexual exploitation, violent crimes, and other high-risk categories, set out what type of content is permitted or deemed "egregiously unacceptable."
Eric Jacob Layton was arrested in 2023 at his University City home on allegations of posing as a doctor, sports reporter, massage therapist and youth sports modeling agent in order to obtain sexually explicit photographs from minors and arrange in-person meetings with the juveniles, officials said. The FBI said victims who participated in youth sports were primarily targeted and that Layton presented himself as a sports massage therapist named Travis Parkin who specialized in youth athletics, as well as a sports physician named Dr. Alexis Iniesta.
