From Dec. 5 to 7, the city will host the inaugural Ashland Sarcasm Festival (ASF!), a three-day comedy takeover designed to fill theaters, bars, and restaurants with sharp wit, satire, and laughter. "This festival is our love letter to Ashland's clever, quirky soul - and to the power of laughter to bring us together," said Matt Hoffman, creative director of Storytown Ashland, the nonprofit producing the event in partnership with Epic Ashland.
Welp, either way, the lineup for the second annual Lil Rhody Laugh Riot was announced Thursday, and it's all A-listers, baby. Tickets go on sale Nov. 7 for the Providence comedy fest, scheduled for March 26-29 of next year. The lineup includes John Mulaney, Chelsea Handler, Jay Pharoah, Marc Maron, Andrew Schulz, Bob the Drag Queen, and others, with more artists to be added as the fest nears. It's presented by The VETS, PPAC and PFM Corp.
