Police were called at 6.10pm on Saturday 5 July 2025 to an address in Dunlop Close, Dartford. Officers attended alongside paramedics, where a man was confirmed to be deceased. The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner.
Toxicology tests revealed that Daiva Antanaviciene had a blood alcohol level of 412 mg/100 ml, far exceeding lethal limits, which indicated her severe alcohol dependence.
Sarah Bourke, the assistant coroner, noted, "During the course of the inquest, the evidence revealed matters giving rise to concern. In my opinion, there is a risk that future deaths could occur unless action is taken." This indicates that without intervention from the council, similar tragedies could happen again.
A spokesperson from the London Ambulance Service stated, "We were called at 6.53pm yesterday to reports of a medical incident in Hatfield Road, Dagenham. Our crews assisted our emergency services partners at the scene. Sadly, despite their best efforts, a woman died at the scene."
