While this kind of driving isn't uncommon on Staten Island, it doesn't make it any less dangerous. Recently submitted dash cam footage shows one driver who thought they didn't need to stop at a red light on one of the busiest roads on the North Shore. The video, submitted to the Advance/SILive.com, shows a car approaching a red light on Richmond Terrace near the intersection of North Burgher Avenue in West Brighton right before the evening rush hour on Thursday, Oct. 2.
A news outlet published dash-cam footage from a garbage truck that it says challenges Alec Baldwin's account of how that commercial vehicle the size of a whale cut him off and forced him to crash his wife's Range Rover head-on into a tree Monday afternoon. Neither Alec Baldwin nor his younger brother Stephen Baldwin, who was a passenger in the Range Rover, was injured in the crash on a rainy Monday afternoon on Montauk Highway, East Hampton.
The male cyclist was discovered unresponsive at the scene at Batterstown, Ballivor, on Friday, September 12. He was taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown where he was subsequently pronounced deceased. A man, aged in his 40s, who was arrested as part of the investigation, is currently detained at a Garda station in the Eastern Region where he can be detained for up to 24 hours.
Gardaí received the report of the burglary at a commercial premises in Darragh, Co Clare this morning, with one of the six stolen cars since recovered and seized by gardaí. The cars which are yet to recovered include a 2014 blue Audi S3 Saloon, a 2017 navy Mercedes CLA180, a 2015 black Volkswagen Golf, a 2014 white Volkswagen Golf and a 2018 white Toyota CHR.
