Before you do any of those things, your top three priorities should be migrating your apps and files to your new device, expunging your personal data from the old PC, and resetting the operating system on the device you plan to recycle, so the new owner can be productive right away. As with all things Windows, there are multiple ways to accomplish these goals.
My dear friend Jack Ellis is an unending source of founder inspiration. Not only has he recently started embracing AI agentic coding-something he's been holding back on for quite a bit. I think I've mentioned several times on this podcast alone how he and I seem to have quite opposing views on embracing this technology. But something has clicked, and he's been diving headlong into it. So over the next couple months, hopefully he'll explore it more, and after that, I've been trying to get him to come on this podcast and talk about his experiences. Let's give him time to explore it fully.
Google Tables, a work-tracking tool and competitor to the popular spreadsheet-database hybrid Airtable, is shutting down. In an email sent to Tables users this week, Google said the app will not be supported after December 16, 2025, and advised that users export or migrate their data to either Google Sheets or AppSheet instead, depending on their needs. Launched in 2020, Tables focused on making project tracking more efficient with automation.
As businesses like yours turn to AI to drive innovation, data has become the strategic lever for agility and growth. Yet for many organizations, the promise of AI remains out of reach because entrenched legacy data systems stand in the way of progress. These aging architectures, characterized by siloed data, technical debt, and a lack of scalability, create significant roadblocks that inhibit innovation and increase costs.
Most data projects don't fail because of bad tech. They fail because of bad planning. Data migration is one of those high-stakes tasks that looks straightforward until you're knee-deep in broken integrations, mismatched fields, and missing records. In fact, poor planning is a top reason why data migrations run over budget or fall apart entirely. Cutting it short: Without a solid data migration checklist, it's chaos. That's why having a clear, well-structured migration plan is critical.
The 'decision, driven by demonstrably false and misleading claims, directly contradicts the Administration's goals of cutting waste, improving efficiency, and reforming failing IT programs.'
The fear of LMS data migration often leads organizations to cling to outdated systems, despite the need for modern, efficient training solutions that can enhance learning experiences.
