Party leaders are urging candidates to step aside and support retired state Senator Bob Wieckowski in the June 16 special election to act as a temporary replacement through the end of the seat's current term in January.

Every Senate Democrat who's eyeing a 2028 presidential run voted against arms sales to Israel in votes earlier this week. This reflects a growing divide within the party regarding support for Israel.

"War powers is a privileged resolution, we plan on calling the privilege next week when we're back," Rep. Sara Jacobs (D-Calif.) told reporters.

The biggest gain for Democrats was a race for a seat on the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Liberal Judge Chris Taylor won the race and Enten noted it marked a 21-point gain for Democrats compared to 2024.
