Data from Flightradar24 showed 65 flights were diverted to 34 airports across Europe, Asia, and Africa. 22 of those were so-called flights to nowhere, where passengers ended up back at the airport from which they departed. At 10 hours and 38 minutes, Emirates Flight 76 from Paris appeared to be the longest one.
A security source has reported that two unmanned aerial vehicles crashed in the Wilayat of Sohar. One of the drones struck Al Awhi Industrial Zone, resulting in the fatalities of two expatriate workers and causing several additional injuries.

Fire crews put out blazes on residential, administrative buildings a gas pipeline and vehicles.

Ukrainian strikes have "annihilated" a major power plant in Moscow with multiple explosions and machine gun fire was heard at the Shatura Thermal Power Plant in Moscow Oblast. Unverified footage shows multiple explosions ringing out with several fireballs lighting up the night sky. Moscow region governor, Andrei Vorobyov, said, "Some of the drones were destroyed by air defense forces. Several fell on the territory of the station," he added a fire broke out but this is now "localised".
Romanian authorities have ordered the evacuation of residents in the village of Plauru on the Danube River that forms the border with Ukraine after a drone reportedly struck an LPG-carrying ship on the Ukrainian side of the river. In a statement released on November 17, the Defense Ministry said its radar monitoring and surveillance systems also detected and tracked targets in Ukrainian airspace near Tulcea County where Plauru lies.
"Clearly, Russia is trying to inflict pain on Ukraine with even more brazen attacks. This is a clear sign that [Russian President Vladimir] Putin is testing the world -- whether they will accept or tolerate this," Zelenskyy said. "That is why it is important that the statements of leaders, states, and institutions be backed by strong actions -- sanctions against Russia, against individuals associated with Russia, tough tariffs, and other restrictions on trade with Russia," he added.
