The situation surrounding the death of Francis Gigliotti has sparked outrage among Haverhill locals as video footage shows him pleading for help just before he died. Witnesses reported he was behaving erratically and subsequently became unresponsive during an encounter with police.

As of Friday, the Los Angeles Police Department is investigating 86 incidents related to officer misconduct during last month's protests, with 59 cases involving possible excessive force.

"...her sentence which also includes a weapons prohibition for three years may affect Au's employment as a police officer. But she said some level of deterrence was necessary..."

Several federal prosecutors have resigned from their positions following a controversial plea deal offered to a sheriff's deputy who used excessive force, raising concerns about integrity.

"You can't undo what's been done to my client, but it is a substantial settlement. There's something sweet about the police having to pay Anthony after he had to take his licks from them."

It feels impossible for my community to build trust back with police when the ramifications for police officers who behave in this way to people in our community remain so inconsequential.
