Principal Dort and "Gideon" (not his real name but, as previously stated, I am done learning new names here) met at some sleazy Tiki spot in Florida. Dort wanted to start a cult - he doesn't even bother pretending that's not the endgame - but thinks he doesn't have the right face to attract followers. He saw Gideon in The Crucible and knew he'd found his man. OMG, John Proctor is the villain!
