Born on April 30, 1992 in the German city of Mönchengladbach, Ter Stegen is a goalkeeper who trained in the lower categories of Borussia Mönchengladbach, a club with which he made his debut in the Bundesliga at the age of just eighteen. He soon established himself as one of the goalkeepers with the most projection in German football thanks to his competitive maturity and regularity in his performance.
