Angelina Jolie and Gizelle Bryant celebrated a mother-daughter weekend with their daughters at a brunch event supporting a sorority.
I love it for all the reasons that everyone else does, but beyond that, I am enthralled by the premise of a show heralded by a woman who we know from day one is committed to making her life better at the world's expense, and is willing to claw her way to the top by hook or by crook alongside the caravan of Machiavellian schemers she calls colleagues and mentors.
Gizelle certainly doesn't care about being viewed as a mean girl or as a villain. She has accepted that as the Faustian bargain she agreed to in exchange for visibility and financial independence. But she does have her soft spots, namely around her inner circle and romantic life. Given her humiliating marriage and public relationship with Sheldon, it's not a surprise that she never wants to let a man embarrass her again.
