New year, new shapes. Fish motifs were the unlikely trend of the past few years, and we're still spotting new examples. But! Lately we've noted something new taking flight: simple, graphic, linocut-like silhouettes of birds, swallows, swans, and doves-the latter certainly the symbol we'd like for 2026. Have a look. The plaster lighting of the '80s is back - though the latest iterations to hit the market aren't like anything you might find at your local thrift store. The concrete column silhouettes of decades gone by have given way to more modern, sculptural and organic shapes. From flush mounts, to sconces, to table lamps, I'm seeing this trend everywhere this season.
