Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade is up for preorder for Nintendo Switch 2 at Amazon and Best Buy. In somewhat of a surprise, the upcoming port retails for only $40. FF7 Remake Intergrade launches January 22, 2026, on Nintendo Switch 2 as well as Xbox Series X|S. Square Enix is only releasing a physical version for Switch 2. It comes with a bunch of in-game bonuses and a Magic: The Gathering Final Fantasy Play Booster Pack.

Tidus, Yuna's Guardian offers players the ability to move counters between creatures, enhancing their strategic gameplay in a Commander match. His Cheer ability allows for drawing cards and proliferating counters.

The starter deck showcases a rich array of heroes, simulating the camaraderie and excitement of multiplayer raids in Final Fantasy XIV, but with competitive player-versus-player dynamics.

While Magic: the Gathering can't replicate this exactly, the designers were clearly inspired by Terra's journey while developing her Commander deck.

Square Enix has yet to confirm which companion is the canon date choice for Cloud in Final Fantasy VII's Gold Saucer, leaving fans guessing.

There is also a reason that the design for Safer Sephiroth is different from the original game, but I unfortunately can't share more about that.
