The first thing that stood out to me about Keldric Faulk is the frame. The Auburn defensive lineman is 6'6 and 276 pounds, which already looks like an NFL defensive end before he even steps onto the field. The Cowboys are trying to build a more physical front, and Faulk fits that perfectly. During his Auburn career, he recorded 109 tackles, 19.5 tackles for loss, and 10 sacks across 37 games.
With the 11th pick in this draft, the Cowboys selected a player who became a cornerstone for the defense and a Hall of Fame player. That guy was none other than DeMarcus Ware. At the time, DeMarcus Ware was viewed as a high-upside pass rusher out of Troy. DeMarcus Ware finished his career 10th all-time in NFL sacks and was eventually inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
I think guys that are resilient, mentally tough, guys who prioritize winning over individual goals. Guys who are smart football players, elevate those around them. He wants players who are going to fit the culture he's trying to establish with the Dolphins.
