Cleveland Browns safety Ronnie Hickman was assaulted in the lobby of a New York City hotel early Monday morning, the team said. The Browns said in a statement that Hickman, 24, was "treated for minor injuries at an area hospital after the incident, was later released, and is home resting with his family." According to a report by the New York Post, a dispute broke out after Hickman was approached by four people in the lobby of SIXTY LES hotel after 4:30 a.m. ET.

Now that the 2025 NFL season is over, we're looking ahead at just how much work teams that were left out of the playoffs must do this offseason -- and potentially beyond. Which teams need to tear down and regroup? Which should take a new approach to move toward contender status? Which can be in the mix after only a savvy move or two? And which are already trending in the right direction and could contend sooner rather than later?

In his end-of-season press conference -- more than a week after the Los Angeles Rams' season ended -- head coach Sean McVay was asked if he had been able to "decompress" from the loss to the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Championship Game. McVay said he had not, in part because of his love for the 2025 Rams team, saying the loss "probably hurt even more than any loss that I've ever been a part of."

Their team had just pulled off a nail-biting, walk-off 19-16 win over the Chicago Bears to end their 2025 season. But the two men addressed reporters not with tears of joy, but instead mourning a season that began with the highest of expectations and ended, at 9-8, with Detroit failing to reach the postseason for the first time since 2022.

Vikings fans were watching warmups in December when an in-house camera began panning the crowd at U.S. Bank Stadium. It stopped at a group holding a homemade poster. The top of the poster read: "All I want for Christmas" On the bottom was an image of Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, whose late-season musings about his future have sparked speculation that he could change teams during the offseason.

The Patriots made significant upgrades to the offense this offseason, fortifying the offensive line and adding a high-upside running back in the draft.
