Chicago leads NFC North but faces two tough games; Green Bay has an easier finish and could overtake if results and injuries favor them.
Outside of the Falcons, the rest of the league is in a heated battle throughout, with 23 teams vying for all 14 playoff spots, which are still up for grabs. But even better, we have a few teams that can clinch their spots in the playoffs: The Denver Broncos, New England Patriots, and Los Angeles Rams can all clinch a spot in the dance this week with wins against their opponents.
Believe it or not, Week 14 of the NFL season is already upon us, and the playoff picture has started to take shape. The NFC is by far the most competitive conference. In the NFC North and NFC West, three teams each conference are tied or nearly tied at the top of the division, making the playoff race an exciting one to watch.
With five weeks left in the 2025 regular season, we suddenly have a real race in the NFC East. A three-game win streak for the Cowboys, coupled with a two-game slump for the Philadelphia Eagles, has brought Dallas just two games behind the division leaders. Remember a few weeks ago when all those "the NFC East will have a repeat winner for the first time since 2004" posts were circulating? Cute, right? The streak is fighting for survival as Dallas is coming on strong in a push for the playoffs. While a wild card spot is still available as a path to the postseason, the Cowboys' ascension has them on a potential collision course with the spiraling Super Bowl champs.
The Miami Dolphins (5-7) held on for a critical 21-17 victory against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, extending their winning streak to three games. Running back De'Von Achane led the offensive attack with 134 yards, while safety Minkah Fitzpatrick provided a game-changing moment with an interception return for 2 points late in the game.
