A U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services officer was struck by a suspect in an off-road vehicle while attempting to detain him in Alviso. The officer fired a shot at the fleeing suspect's vehicle, but it’s unconfirmed if the bullet struck the subject. The injured officer was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and was released on Sunday. The suspect remains unidentified and at large.

Two officers with the Santa Cruz Police Department were sent to the hospital after a confrontation with a combative individual downtown, reported for battery.
