An 8-year-old girl was killed Wednesday when she was struck by an ambulance in Van Buren, a town in northern Maine, according to Maine State Police. Just after 4 p.m., state police responded to a crash near Kennedy Terrace and Main Street in Van Buren, where an ambulance traveling north fatally struck Emma Cormier.
