The Poco F8 Ultra sits atop the Poco portfolio, offering solid all-around performance at a sub-flagship price. But ever wondered what's inside, especially with the built-in subwoofer? Well, the guys at PBKreviews have done a complete teardown showing off the internals, and there are some interesting findings. Let's start with repairability. Previous Poco F generations have been criticized for being hard to repair, but the F8 Ultra appears to have improved on that aspect.
This generation of Ultra goes for a larger screen at the cost of resolution - the F8 Ultra has a 6.9" 1200p+ display (120Hz OLED with 12-bit Dolby Vision), up from 6.67" 1440p+ (also 120Hz OLED with 12-bit Dolby Vision). The battery also grows from the smallish 5,300mAh to a solid 6,500mAh. Charging is similar enough at 100W wired and 50W wireless.
Poco has confirmed that the F8 Ultra will offer a 6.9-inch display, whereas the F8 Pro will sport a 6.59-inch screen. The Poco F8 Ultra will offer a 5x telephoto camera and will be available in Denim Blue and Black color options. The former uses a 3rd generation nano-tech material with fiberglass at the back, whereas the latter uses glass fiber with matte texture and glossy finish.
The Poco F8 Ultra and the Poco F8 Pro might be launching quite soon, much earlier than their predecessors' one-year anniversary in March. While the brand hasn't made an official announcement on the matter, we say this because both devices have already started doing the certifications dance across the world, and we've even seen the F8 Pro's box revealing "Sound by Bose".
