The Waterfront Botanical Gardens and Graeser Family Education Center sit on a former landfill site, which had been unusable and closed off to the public for decades. Today it has been redesigned into 23.5 acres of lush, verdant, sustainable public space: the first botanical garden in Louisville. The education center and surrounding trails and gardens provide green space to residents and visitors, while educating the public on topics of conservation and sustainability.
Banners have been painted, posters printed, buttons pressed, all with a similar message: educators and other professionals represented by the United Teachers of Richmond are ready to fight for better pay, benefits, staffing levels and services for students. Educators are asking for a 10% raise over a two-year period, 100% employer-paid health care and improvements to class sizes, special education and other areas. The district has countered with a single 2% raise and 85% employer-paid health care.

GONZALEZ: They're like little kittens... CHANG: OK. GONZALEZ: ...Just with eight legs and fangs.

We are a special breed.
"But I do believe that there is a really significant opportunity here for Democrats to take back the state of Florida - as long as we have a candidate who can relate to everyday people who keeps it focused on the most important pressing issues that affect people every single day in their lives like affordability and public education, and access to true freedoms across the state," Jenkins said.
