Rogue planets, or free-floating planets, are real celestial bodies that drift through space, often detected through gravitational microlensing.

Astronomers using the Euclid space telescope have discovered rogue planets floating freely in the Milky Way, along with star clusters, dwarf galaxies, and distant bright galaxies.
