Sept. 1 Petty theft, possession of stolen property, controlled substance and drug paraphernalia: Between Aug. 29 and Sept. 1, someone stole an unlocked bicycle and bike tool bag from Redwood Middle School on Fruitvale Avenue. A suspect was located in possession of the tool bag in Sunnyvale, but the bike was not located, for a loss valued at approximately $758. The suspect, who was also in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia and had an outstanding warrant, was arrested and booked into main jail.

The Federal Trade Commission is warning people about fake texts involving Amazon that claim an item purchased has been recalled, including a link for a full refund.
