Tonantzyn Oris Beltran, 30, went on trial last fall in Marin County Superior Court for fatally stabbing Olivia Beltran. Last month a jury found her not guilty by reason of insanity. Following the verdict, Judge Geoffrey Howard said he planned to have the defendant placed in custody at a state hospital. He issued his order on Wednesday. Hopefully she will receive the mental health treatment that she should've received a long time ago, said Beltran's attorney, Jon Rankin.

The 32-year-old, who is facing life behind bars or the death penalty, had been stable on medications for schizoaffective disorder at the time of his medication change, sources told TMZ for the outlet's upcoming documentary on the case. Reiner was diagnosed with the disorder around 2020. Both the bipolar and depressive types of schizoaffective disorders, as identified by the Mayo Clinic, include some schizophrenia symptoms.
