Voting has now concluded in Kerala, Assam and Puducherry with results expected on May 4. Assam recorded a voter turnout of nearly 76% and Kerala of 62.7%.

Portland's transition to a new form of government last January brought new practices and procedures for the City Council. An independent investigation found that San Leandro Councilmembers Victor Aguilar Jr. and Fred Simon retaliated against Councilmember Xouhoa Bowen and engaged in gender-biased and abusive conduct following her vote to censure them in November 2024.
