A 45-year-old woman died in a two-car collision in Newton that occurred at 4:30 p.m. on Walnut Street and Judith Road, with her vehicle subsequently striking a tree.
A woman in her 70s has died after being struck by a driver in Scarborough, said Toronto police. Officers were called to the scene around 8:22 a.m. Thursday after a pedestrian had been hit by a vehicle near Homestead Road and Coronation Drive, said Toronto police on social media. The woman was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced dead, they said.
On Oct. 15, the driver of a minivan struck three people an 89-year-old woman, a 75-year-old woman and 43-year-old woman on the sidewalk outside a Neptune Avenue shopping center. The 89-year-old woman, who had initially been identified by police as being 75 years old, was rushed to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn, where she was pronounced dead. The other victims taken to Maimonides Medical Center in stable condition.
