This evening, the Atlanta Braves announced that Banana Ball is returning to Truist Park in 2026. Games will be played from May 8th through May 10th. Started by the Savannah Bananas, the barnstorming league will expand to a six-team league for 2026. Known as Banana Ball, they place an emphasis on entertainment value and fan engagement with rules such as if a fan catches a foul ball in the air, the batter is out.

With two outs in the top of the seventh in a 5-2 game with the Pirates leading, the skies suddenly opened up at Truist Park and prompted a rain delay between the Atlanta Braves and Pittsburgh.
