I can say it openly: Bayern Munich. In hindsight, it's the only club I think I should have joined. But we'll never know how things would have turned out. That was during the time of Robert Lewandowski, Thomas Müller, and all the others; it was clear I wouldn't have played as much as I did here [in Hoffenheim]. Financially, I would definitely have been better off. That's the only thing I might regret; everything else didn't particularly appeal to me. That's why I'm still here.
There were two special activities before kick-off. The FCB Women players wore special warm-up shirts with a message of support for Lena Oberdorf after the recurrence of her cruciate ligament injury. As well as that, both teams presented a "WE29" banner together in support of the DFB's bid to host UEFA Women's EURO 2029 (' WE29 - Together WE Rise'), with FCB captain Stanway wearing a WE29 armband during the game.
On Sunday afternoon (15.30 CET), FC Bayern Women travel to the Kraichgau region, or to be exact, the Dietmar Hopp Stadium in Hoffenheim. They'll be heading there with their red and white determination and an impressive winning streak that will give TSG Hoffenheim plenty of food for thought. Among those in the spotlight: Klara Bühl, currently the top scorer in European women's football, who is setting new records with every goal and assist.
