Wireless audio has become the industry standard, but there are still options out there for people who prefer a wired connection. Two new choices joining the market come from Sennheiser, which has released the CX 80U wired earbuds and HD 400U wired over-ear headphones. These new takes on the company's previous models for wired listening have replaced the 3.5mm audio jack connector with a USB-C cable.

Are wired headphones better than wireless Bluetooth headphones? In terms of sound, the answer can often be yes. Although, I won't pretend Bluetooth headphones aren't good enough for the majority of the population's ears. They are. Still, wired headphones are often easier to use (caveat below) and tend to not have as much fancy (read: expensive) tech that drives up the price. Plus you can use them after months of neglect without needing to charge. What a blessing.

Wired headphones offer a solid connection without pairing issues, unlike wireless options, and are compatible with various devices. They provide improved mic quality and don't require batteries.
