"AC Milan continue to be linked with goalkeepers amid the uncertainty over Mike Maignan's future, and a new name has emerged. Maignan's contract expires at the end of the season and as it stands he will leave Milan on a free transfer after five years at the club. There are reports suggesting a final attempt will be made by the management to renew his deal, though it seems more likely that he departs at present."
"He renewed his deal earlier in the year, but this hasn't stopped the speculation that he could be set for a move, though the idea of him replacing Maignan seems optimistic. "We've spoken to some English clubs, not top clubs, who wanted to invest a lot of money. In January, a sale of the player could be considered, but certainly for much less. We brought him up to €1m and today he's worth at least €10m. Lazio's asking price is much higher.""
Mike Maignan's contract expires at the end of the season and he is expected to leave AC Milan on a free transfer after five years. Club management may still attempt a final contract renewal, but departure currently appears more likely. Sporting director Igli Tare is scouting potential replacements and has been linked with Christos Mandas from Lazio. Mandas joined Lazio from OFI in 2023 and has served as back-up to Ivan Provedel, having renewed his deal earlier in the year. Mandas's agent praised his development, reported interest from some English clubs, and indicated a January sale could be possible at a lower fee than Lazio demands.
