The 13-year-old suffered serious injuries and was treated at Maimonides Hospital, where he was unconscious and intubated. Officers reported signs of intoxication, including an odor of alcohol and bloodshot eyes, and Sanchez lost his balance six times during a sobriety test. Sanchez faces vehicular assault and DUI-related charges and is scheduled to return to court on July 1.
