"Berkeley police have arrested a Richmond man suspected of robbing a gas station last year, officials announced Friday. The 49-year-old suspect was taken into custody Oct. 26 in Pittsburg after allegedly evading and resisting police, according to a Berkeley Police Department news release. He is accused of holding up a Chevron gas station on San Pablo Avenue in November 2024."
"Police said the suspect entered the store armed with a revolver, threatened the clerk and repeatedly tried to breach the protected cashier area. When that failed, he allegedly reached through the pass-through drawer and pointed the gun at the clerk. Investigators said they identified the suspect's vehicle using an automated license plate reader. In December, the Marin County Sheriff's Office notified Berkeley police that they had arrested a man believed to be involved in several robberies, each carried out with a silver revolver."
