"The Highway Patrol urged the public to wear seat belts, not drink and drive and be cautious while traversing remote roads like Mount Emma given "limited sight distances, narrow lanes, and winding terrain.""
A head-on collision occurred Friday evening along Mount Emma Road in Littlerock in California’s Antelope Valley. The California Highway Patrol reported that the driver of an Infiniti G35 veered into oncoming traffic and collided with a Honda Pilot SUV traveling in the opposite direction. The driver and a passenger in the Infiniti were pronounced dead at the scene, and neither was wearing a seat belt. Two occupants of the SUV were injured and airlifted to a hospital. Evidence collected from the Infiniti indicated alcohol was a contributing factor, and the crash remained under investigation. Authorities urged seat belt use, avoiding drinking and driving, and caution on remote roads with limited sight distances, narrow lanes, and winding terrain.
