"Adonyae Brown, Archbishop Riordan football: The junior ran for 193 yards and three touchdowns in 21 carries to help the Crusaders win their first West Catholic Athletic League championship since 2000 with a 42-35 victory on the road over Serra. Charlie Dalrymple, Woodside football: The junior completed 8 of 9 passes for 221 yards and two touchdowns as Woodside completed a 10-0 regular season with a 42-14 victory on the road over Milpitas. Noah Defaii, James Logan water polo: The senior scored five goals and handed out two assists to lead the fifth-seeded Colts to an 11-8 victory over fourth-seeded Cardinal Newman in the quarterfinals of the NCS Division II playoffs."

Candidates for future Athlete of the Week polls can be nominated at highschools@bayareanewsgroup.com. We accept nominations until 11 a.m. each Monday. We also review stats submitted to MaxPreps by coaches/team statisticians."
The Bay Area News Group runs a weekly boys Athlete of the Week poll covering performances from Nov. 3-8. Voting prohibits bots and other artificial methods and excludes votes by email or any ballots received after 5 p.m. Wednesday. Readers may vote multiple times online until the Wednesday deadline. Winners are announced each Friday online and in the print sports sections. Nominations for future polls can be emailed to highschools@bayareanewsgroup.com until 11 a.m. Monday, and submitted MaxPreps stats from coaches and team statisticians are reviewed. Notable nominees include Adonyae Brown, Charlie Dalrymple, Noah Defaii, and Andrew Fernandez (partial entry).
