"The Sky selected Delle Donne with the No. 2 pick in the 2013 WNBA Draft. She almost instantly became one of the league's best players, guiding Chicago to the Finals in 2014."
"Doc Rivers was a star point guard at Proviso East High School before playing his college ball at Marquette. He is being inducted into the Hall of Fame as a coach."
Candace Parker, Elena Delle Donne, and Doc Rivers are set to be inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. Parker led the Chicago Sky to their first WNBA title in 2021, while Delle Donne guided the team to the WNBA Finals in 2014. Both players retired after the 2023 season. Rivers, a former NBA All-Star and head coach, is recognized for his coaching achievements. Amar'e Stoudemire will also be part of this year's induction class, while Dick Motta remains a finalist without induction.
