The plan centers on actively managed investment strategies implemented directly on blockchain networks, making professional portfolio management programmable and tradeable onchain. Kraken’s xStocks framework, launched in 2025 and associated with $30B+ in trading volume, will host Franklin Templeton’s actively managed strategies. The partnership will co-design tokenized yield products first for institutional clients and later for Kraken’s broader user base where regulations allow. Kraken will integrate Franklin Templeton’s BENJI token suite, representing shares in the Franklin Onchain U.S. Government Money Fund, for use as collateral and for generating yield in digital markets.
