To wit, San Jose's 3Below Theaters are celebrating Halloween weekend with anniversary screenings of two of the genre's earliest and best, The Phantom of the Opera, which is 100 years old, and The Bride of Frankenstein, which turned 90 this year. Phantom, with Lon Chaney, made its debut in 1925. That movie is showing at 7 p.m. Halloween and at 2 p,m, Saturday, Nov. 1."
