Two Livermore Valley businesses recognized as top women-owned wineries in the United States
"Darcie Kent Estate, now in its sixth generation of winemaking, was ranked No. 2 for its "perfect blend of art, wine and community in Livermore Valley." The estate was praised for its consistent high quality and creativity in its winemaking, while celebrating Darcie's artwork throughout the estate. "Darcie remains our vintner and artist, walking the vineyards daily and capturing their spirit through her vibrant label paintings," the Darcie Kent Estate said in a statement."
"Livermore's Rosa Fierro Cellars was ranked No. 3 for its "friendly, down-to-earth atmosphere" and a lively tasting room experience the report referred to as "sassy but classy." Founder Rosie Fierro said owning her own winery has been a dream come true and she praised the women of the Livermore Valley wine community. "We have a higher percentage of women-owned wineries and winemakers than in other areas throughout the U.S.," she said."
Two Livermore wineries achieved national recognition among the top 10 women-owned wineries in the United States, with Darcie Kent Estate ranked No. 2 and Rosa Fierro Cellars ranked No. 3. Darcie Kent Estate earned praise for blending art, wine and community, showcasing Darcie's label paintings, and maintaining creative, high-quality winemaking; Amanda serves as president and Kailyn designs labels. Rosa Fierro Cellars was noted for a friendly, down-to-earth atmosphere and lively tasting room. Founder Rosie Fierro celebrated the region's strong presence of women-owned wineries and the collaboration and support among women in the Livermore Valley. Eight listed wineries are in California, two in Oregon, and both winery addresses and hours were provided.
