"Iveco Bus announces it has signed three framework agreements with Île-de-France Mobilités, the transport authority of Paris region. The contracts provide for the supply of up to 4,000 low- and zero-emission buses and coaches between 2026 and 2032. In early 2024, Paris region public transport authority announced plans to order 3,500 clean buses for city and intercity services via the centralized body Centrale d'achat du transport public (CATP) via a 1.8 million euros investment."
"UPDATE OCTOBER 31ST 2025: According to French trade media TRM24, the first firm tranche of the Île-de-France Mobilités framework has now been confirmed, with Iveco receiving an initial order for 719 vehicles as part of the 4,000-bus renewal programme. The order includes both electric and gas-powered models, aligning with the authority's strategy to balance zero- and low-emission technologies. Being more specific, 569 vehicles, 154 electric and 415 gas-powered buses, will be manufactured by 2027 in France at Iveco's plants in Annonay (Ardèche) and Rorthais (Deux-Sèvres). 150 gas-powered intercity coaches will be manufactured at Iveco's Czech factory in Vysoké Myto."
"According to Iveco Bus' announcement, the agreements were signed under the coordination of CATP (Centrale d'Achat du Transport Public) and divided into three lots corresponding to specific vehicle types: the 12-metre GX 337 ELEC battery-electric bus, the 12- and 18-metre Urbanway in Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) configuration, and the 12-metre interurban Crossway CNG. Both CNG models are fully compatible with biomethane produced from waste, enabling near-neutral carbon operation across regional and intercity routes. Specific figures of vehicles split by lots are not mentioned in the official release by Iveco Group."
