The Dodgers organization sent thoughts to the Vesia family and said an update will be provided later. Manager Dave Roberts said the team is trying to understand roster rules and navigate the process while working to backfill Vesia's spot. Roberts said the club is taking a day-to-day approach with no expectations about Vesia's availability for the World Series. Vesia has made seven postseason appearances for Los Angeles, including six consecutive scoreless outings, and is one of four high-leverage relievers.
