Will Smith 'Loves' Challenge Of Postseason Baseball & Appreciates Dodgers' Commitment
""Yeah, fortunately I am with the Los Angeles Dodgers," he said. "That's why I wanted to be here my whole career was a chance to play in the postseason every year. No team is committed more to winning a World Series each and every year than the Dodgers. That's what I want to be a part of. I love the challenge and the goal. "That's what we try to do every year is win a World Series. And that's who I am, that's what I want to be a part of.""
""Huge relief. (Kevin) Gausman was throwing the baseball really well. We were in between, I thought, offensively with the fastball. When Will got into that 3-2 count, just missed a 3-1 heater, and then they went to the well again, and hit a home"
Will Smith has made the postseason in each of his first seven MLB seasons with the Los Angeles Dodgers, including three World Series trips. He has appeared in 67 playoff games and logged 247 at-bats, creating October familiarity. Smith missed the first four postseason games while recovering from a hairline fracture in his right hand, then started for the Dodgers beginning in Game 3 of the NLDS and every game thereafter. He produced an RBI single in World Series Game 1 and a multi-RBI performance with a home run in Game 2.
