""These attacks do not resemble random vandalism," Pasha Ripley, Parasol Patrol's executive director, said in a statement. "They are intimidation designed to push LGBTQIA+ people, families, and especially youth-serving organizations back into fear and isolation.""
""At this point, it does not appear that the two are related, but investigators are still working to gather more information," the Denver Police Department told FOX31."
""The building feels secure and that's what's important," Taylor said. "The community is coming together.""
A wave of vandalism struck multiple LGBTQ+ businesses in Denver over the past week, culminating in an early Saturday attack on the Center on Colfax. Security cameras captured a lone vandal smashing several of the center's front windows with a rock. Parasol Patrol reported incidents affecting two salons, a queer gym, a boutique, and the Center. Parasol Patrol described the acts as intimidation aimed at pushing LGBTQIA+ people and youth-serving organizations into fear and isolation. Denver Police are investigating two of the incidents, and the Center has hired temporary security while saying the building feels secure.
