"The company plans to supplement the thousands of blocked websites with its own religious content, some of which will be directed at children, featuring characters like Tinker Bell and Cinderella. Before embarking on this project, Fisher was an agent for supermodels, but says he now regrets his work in the industry. He said God spoke to him one night and told him to do something faith-based."
Radiant Mobile is a Christian cell phone network designed to create a “Jesus-centric” environment. The network filters out all pornography with no exceptions. LGBTQ+ content is blocked by default, but adult users can override the filter through settings. The system also includes more than 100 other controllable categories. Critics argue that subjective definitions of LGBTQ+ content and the broad scope of categories give the founder excessive control over what is allowed or banned. Examples include classifying Yale University as education while blocking a separate trans-focused subsection, with warnings that queer content on Yale front pages could also be blocked. The company plans to add religious content to replace blocked sites, including content aimed at children.
