"Tami is exactly the kind of thoughtful, sophisticated former regulator our clients need when the SEC and other agencies are pushing aggressively on enforcement. Her first-chair experience leading SEC investigations, combined with her track record obtaining efficient, favorable outcomes for clients in high-stakes government-facing matters, makes her an ideal fit for our growing securities and regulatory defense practice."
"Over the past several years, Sher Tremonte has built an exceptional team of former prosecutors and regulators handling bet-the-company criminal and regulatory matters. I am excited to join this distinguished group and to help further expand the firm's SEC enforcement and securities regulatory practice."
Tami Stark, an experienced Securities and Exchange Commission enforcement professional, has become a partner at Sher Tremonte LLP's New York office. During her eight-year tenure at the SEC's Enforcement Division, Stark served as Assistant Regional Director, leading investigations and enforcement actions. She previously worked as a partner at an international law firm where she guided clients through major regulatory investigations involving the SEC, DOJ, FINRA, and multi-state agencies. Her career also includes experience at a white-collar defense boutique and service as a law clerk to U.S. District Judge Carol B. Amon. Stark's appointment enhances Sher Tremonte's securities litigation, regulatory enforcement, and complex white-collar investigation capabilities, complementing the firm's existing team of former prosecutors and regulators.
